Our professionally trained staff offers more than nursing care. We believe the residents entrusted to our care are the most important members of our health care team. We aim our programs at creating a warm, friendly environment where the dignity of each resident is maintained, as well as meeting the physical and emotional needs of the resident. At Markesan Resident Home we strive to maintain independence and dignity, while enjoying life and companionship.

Our services include Intermediate, Skilled and Intensive Skilled Nursing Services and Restorative Care. Physicians visit the Home monthly. We have various types of therapy available, including physical, occupational and speech therapies. Music therapy and a Sensory Stimulation Program are two of the more specialized services offered. We also offer a therapeutic dietary program. There are social services and activities to serve as individual programs. Some other services include audiology, laboratory, dental, optometry, and ophthalmology.

We try to accommodate as many needs as possible, whether the needs are long term or short term. Our Short Term Care offers an environment to recuperate for the transition between hospital and home. We also offer Hospice Care in conjunction with St. Agnes Hospital. Markesan Resident Home participates in the Medicaid and Medicare Programs.

Prior to admission our staff begins by consulting with your physician and other health care providers to make sure our facility fits your needs.
